Care for Makeover?
Aqua Body Polish. Or you if you want to be cheap, here’s an easy way to make a body scrub / exfoliant
Buy dark brown sugar and buy pure glycerin (at your CVS or drugstore) mix the two together and you have your own scrub.
with so many girls, you might want to have them alternate with swimsuits on and scrub their arms and legs with the brownsugar scrub and rinse in the shower. this leaves skin really realy soft. Then have body lotion for all the girls to put on. That’s always fun. You can find cheap stuff that smells really good at any drugstore.
For a face mask, you can get cheap stuff like clean & clear, st. ives, even the wal-mart brand “equate” makes a decent face mask. you can make an at home face mask but honestly, the ingredients cost more than what you would pay for buying one cheap $3 mask at wal-mart and using it on 10 girls.
I don’t know any great spa games…but I do know that girls that age LOVE doing makeup stuff. I just helped out at a sleepover for 10 year olds where I did everyone’s makeup. Gather together a bunch of makeup you might have lying around from makeup gifts or ask friends. or just go to a dollar store and buy cheap girly makeup stuff.
Do their eyeshadow and lipstick and a little mascara and then do hair! the best part about going to the spa is getting your hair done. I did french pig tail braids that stopped half-way and the rest of the hair went into a ponytail. And then I used an curling iron and hairspray so each girl had barrel curls in their ponytails and bought ribbon to tie a bow in each girls ponytail.
Then I did everyone’s nails. we did mini-manicures and pedis. (nothing too fancy, though if i had the time i could’ve done french tips)
Then I took them out to see Hairspray, the new movie. So they basically got a fun spa makeover and then got to go out to the movies!
but if you don’t want to do the expense of the movie thing then maybe you could set up a runway theme thing.
cut out like magazine ads, make little collages of cute fashion / makeup stuff from vogue or glamour and put them on pretty paper / construction paper.
for treats, do easy stuff like cupcakes and decorate with confectionary shapes like red-lips or a fashion shoe or a purse. or you can even get edible glitter sprinkles, very cute and girly. or make cookies, brownies, anything simple like that.
Here’s what you need. this is what it comes down to:
1. brown sugar 2. glycerin 3. a cheap clay face mask 4. face cleanser (to remove mask) 5. dollar store makeup 6. scented body lotion 7. if you want, nail polish, top coat, hand cream 8. nail polish remover (just in case) 9. curling iron 10. hair elastics 11. cupcake mix 12. sprinkles 13. confectionary sugar shapes (like purses, shoes, anything cute like that!) 14. mix for frosting (heavy cream, sugar, butter, etc) food coloring 15. cupcake papers 16, brownie mix, etc. 17. magazines!! (like vogue!!)
I got my haircut and they messed it up. I need to style and plus am 13 so no old fashioned ideas please
Hey girl don’t worry! I know it stinks when you aren’t feeling so good about your hair 🙁 Okay so what I would do is first try all different styles, try curling it, straightening it, try it half up half down. If all of those are still upsetting you , some easy quick looks can be pulling your hair to one side, create a messy bun, then if your layers fall down take bobby pins and pin them up how you like them.
